Riviera, the largest luxury boat manufacturer in Australia, has announced a completely new range of yachts. The Riviera Motor Yachts are 73 to 85 feet in size and bear the impeccable build quality and styling for all Riviera products. The 85, 78, and 73 yachts will increase the options for Riviera owners who want boats similar to super-yachts. This new series will be built in Taiwan under strict supervision for Riviera. Taiwan boat yards have earned an international reputation for building quality, making them the optimal choice.
Australian owners will have full benefits from the marine support network. This network stretches from Airlie Beach in Queensland all the way to Perth. Riviera also offers excellent support for after-sales on every continent and 34 countries.
Spacing Features
This new set of boats will include a large fly bridge with exterior and interior lounging areas. Accommodation space is made up of four cabins, 3-4 bathrooms, and crew quarters. A large lounging area and U-shaped galley with a separate dining area is also included. Owners will have a large range of spacing options such as garage housing or an area on the fly-bridge to store water equipment.
The fly-bridge exterior can also be equipped with an entertainment area with bar fridges, tables, and lounges. The Sky Lounge area is enclosed and is equipped with a LCD TV with surround sound speakers. The aft deck includes an ice maker, refrigerator, and electric barbeque. Navigating the yacht is made easy with Raymarine electronic aids and a 72 mile radar array. The helm also provides an electronic engine control system with hydraulic power steering.
Engines
Riviera provides a wide range of engine choices, allowing customers to experience a variety of boat lifestyles. Some yachts have a long distance cruising rate of more than 1,500 nautical miles at a speed of 24 knots. The standard engine on the 73 yacht is the MTU 60 Series clocked at 825 horsepower. Other options may include the MTU 8V with 1,200 hp and the Caterpillar C18 with 1,015 hp. The 73 Motor Yacht is also compatible with the triple Volvo IPS-2 propulsion at 700 hp.
The main engine for the 78 series is the Caterpillar C18 with 1,015 hp along with an optional MTU 8V engine (1,200 hp). Standard engines for the 85 series are the same as the 78 except for an additional Caterpillar C32 engine with 1,550 hp. Engines below 1000 hp are not compatible with large luxury yachts boats because they are not strong enough to power them at high speeds.
