The Superyacht Silver Zwei Enroute To Beat Her Own Speed, Range And Fuel Economy Records

Silver Zwei, the world’s fastest conventionally powered motor yacht, is attemping to beat her own speed, fuel and range record set on her maiden voyage.

Reaching speeds of up to 27 knots, the lighweight, aluminum Silver Zwei is extremely agile while cutting through the waters and is capable of covering over 4,500 nautical miles at speeds of 19 to 22 knots using only 425 liters of fuel per hour.

The superyacht was engineered and built by Hanseatic Marine of Perth, Western Australia. Her design was created by world renowned designer Espen Oeino.

While on her maiden voyage from the shipyard in Perth, Australia to Dubai in October 2009, the Superyacht travelled the 5,103 nm distance in just 12 days averaging a remarkable speed of 18.26 knots with a mean fuel consumption of around 18 litres per nautical mile.

Silver Zwei is currently on her way to Singapore on her new voyage and will again attempt to beat her own record. Her trip will take her around the Pakistan and Indian Coastline.
