YCO, a leading provider of sales, purchase, charter, new construction services and fuel to the Super Yacht community, announces the launch of beta testing for its revolutionary new superyacht brokerage application specifically designed for use on the iPad and iPhone.
YCO, which also recently introduced YCO LIVE and YCO VISA to its management and charter programs, continues to strive to improve efficiency at all levels of superyacht management and brokerage.
The application, which will be demonstrated at this year’s Monaco Yacht Show (22 – 25 September), is designed to facilitate superyacht searches, enabling yacht brokers, buyers and charterers to quickly and easily review available yachts, toys, tenders and other essential yacht accessories.
Essentially a portable, interactive catalogue of superyachts and all that goes with them, the chief benefit of the application is in its mobility.
“After YCO LIVE, we were looking for ways to innovate, bringing modern technology into brokerage”, said Gary Wright, the managing partner of YCO and head of the brokerage division. “When the iPad was launched we immediately saw the potential to create portable sales and charter catalogues. It’s greener than printing off reams of paper and less cumbersome; it’s interactive and easy to keep fully up-to-date.”
YCO forecasts that the real value of the app will be evident at yacht shows and on yacht viewings. “While physically viewing one yacht, clients will be able to compare its specifications, décor, and list of toys and so on with another yacht on the market – instantly. This adds an element of flexibility to viewings which our often time pressured clients will certainly appreciate.” said London based YCO sales broker Will Christie.
The YCO iPad app will be available to view at the YCO stand on the Quai Chicane at Monaco Yacht Show 2010, where the company will also be exhibiting the newly launched 39m Feadship GO.
