The Superyacht Columbus 245 Concept By Palumbo Shipyard And Design Studio Spadolini

Columbus 245

Palumbo Shipyard has revealed some details about their new Columbus 245 superyacht.

The new vessel will have a steel hull and aluminium superstructure. She will be able to accommodate 10 guests (including the owner) and 24 crew.

“The design concept follows the current trend of a vertical bow but offers some new approaches in the stern area. Full but safe contact with the water; the design is made up of a few simple clean lines to give a clean and linear look to the yacht”, says the Italy-based design studio.

The living area of the yacht includes a spacious owner’s suite with a private en suite living room, a sun deck, a gum mid ship and a swimming pool on the lower aft deck.

Powered by two Caterpillar 3516 B DITA-SCAC engines, Columbus 245 will be able to reach the maximum speed of 18 knots and cruise at 16 knots. Her range will be approximately 2000 nm at cruising speed and 4200 miles at 12.5 knots.
