The Sailing Association Noordwijk has existed since May 1, 1957 and has its residence on the beach during the year. Over the years, the ZVN itself has undergone enormous developments. However, the ZVN has also been at the cradle of developments within surf water sports. Cooperation with other sailing associations has led to the establishment of the Dutch Federation of Surf Water Sports Associations. A few years ago, the ZVN contributed to the establishment of a covenant with the Water Sports Association and was the first association to make use of this. The ZVN is therefore affiliated with the KNWV.
