6th Itchen South Hamble Sea Scouts is one of the most active Sea Scout groups in the country.
With over 150 members we are one of the largest groups in the area. Our headquarters is located in the home of sailing – the village of Hamble near Southampton. It is the perfect environment for young people to enjoy activities on the water and to experience what our beautiful area has to offer.
There are over 7,500 Scout groups in the UK of which around 350 are Sea Scouts.
We are one of only 103 of these groups to be recognised by the Royal Navy. The Royal Navy recognition scheme provides assurance of the standard of the scout program, water activities and administration. Recognition allows us to proudly fly the defaced red ensign.
We are an approved RYA Training Centre offering nationally recognised qualifications in various disciplines including dinghy and keelboat sailing and powerboat handling.
