In 1933, the Essex Yacht Club began with a simple mission: to promote excellence in yachting activities among its members, including racing, cruising, and off-water club activities. The Club celebrates year-round member activities to promote the Corinthian spirit and the camaraderie of friendship to accomplish this mission.
In 2008 the Essex Yacht Club celebrated its 75th year anniversary. Today the EYC is at full membership with very active racing, cruising and social programs along with superior dining capabilities.
