The founding members’ purpose was the promotion of yachting, and this remains so today. For more than 150 years, the Eastern Yacht Club’s storied legacy and leadership has remained committed to providing its members with opportunities to participate, as in the Club’s motto, Aurae Vela Vocant – the Winds Call to the Sails.
