The Santa Eulalia Yacht Club was founded in October 1991, by a group of friends from the town of the river who put all their enthusiasm and work to make the project of having a yacht club come true in the municipality. And it was thanks to all those people, to all the founding members who supported this project, and to the Santaeulariense City Council, that it was possible to set sail.

The bylaws, after the last mandatory adaptation, define it as a private, non-profit association, whose object and purpose is the promotion, development and continued practice of physical activity and sport, in addition to the protection of disability, childhood and people at risk of social exclusion and provision of social services of general interest.
The current sports sections are sailing, swimming and canoeing, but other activities and events are also organized on a social basis, such as the traditional procession of the Virgen del Carmen, water activities on the beach, and diving, among others, in addition to years in charge of the management and operation of the two municipal swimming pools of Santa Eulalia del Río. .
Almost a thousand members registered in the social census, including 2 honorary members and the 246 founding members. There is also a census of over a hundred athletes among the main sections, and several thousand people pass through our facilities every year.
In the organization of events, the 2013 Tornado class World Championship stands out, an international competition in which it proved to be at the level of the biggest clubs. Another successful and high-level competition was the Spanish Adapted Sailing Cup or the latest edition of Ultraswim, where one of the trips that make it up was part of the II RFN Spanish Open Water Cup, which was held on 21 May 2016.
