This is a synthesis of the history of Club Náutico San Isidro, which was born with a series of founding values that have been cultivated throughout its existence.
NAUTICAL . The need to bring together young water sports enthusiasts was the reason for its foundation, and without this principle we would not have our Club as we know it. That was the initial idea that not only endures, but also places Club Náutico San Isidro at the forefront of yachting.
FAMILY . The Club was born with the desire for FAMILY. A place to share with family and with family friends. That was a very important reason that came to fruition happily. Such was the case that there was a proposal to modify the name of the Club by incorporating the word “social”. Both men and women alike are considered members of the Club. The concept of Family has always included both partners and employees, who have had a special treatment of permanent recognition.
FRIENDSHIP. The leading role given to the men and women who gave life to the Club was very varied, however, and despite the strong personalities of most of them, they showed that the desire for it to last became a reality thanks to the sense of the FRIENDSHIP that brought them together. That sense of friendship is reaffirmed every day at Club Náutico San Isidro.
SOLIDARITY . The Club was born with the solidarity effort of different sectors of the social life of the Town of San Isidro to which its founders belong. Solidarity persists in the behavior of so many members who daily contribute time, dedication and even goods to the Institution with the joint purpose of the common good.
AUSTERITY. . A principle that has always allowed the coexistence of a broad socio-economic spectrum within its associates, without the one who has the most being able to impose canons of life on the one who has the least. Although in the early years this was part of the lifestyle of most of society, over the years consumerism altered this lifestyle, however AUSTERITY continues to be the key to the success of the Club’s economy.
I RESPECT. The Nautical, familiar, friendly, supportive and austere is a way of life that develops with mutual respect among the people who live in the Club, be they members, employees, guests. Without respect there would be no Club.
GRATITUDE. Throughout its history, the members have expressed Gratitude towards all the people whose dedication to the Institution made possible the existence of the Club that we enjoy today. Numerous events prove this. The Blessing of the Waters, a celebration that has been held at the Club since 1915, has been a sign of constant gratitude to the Creator, especially for the element that allowed us to develop the nautical activities that gave rise to our much-loved Club Náutico San Isidro.
