Club Locarno is a non-profit, member-run club offering our members access to the best sailing, kayaking, rowing, SUP (stand up paddling), and windsurfing in Vancouver. We are funded entirely by membership fees, and members have the opportunity to vote on all significant decisions.
Club Locarno accommodates both beginners and experienced water sport enthusiasts. Our Members are required to be at least 15 years of age, and to help in the volunteer operation of the club. For example, volunteers help run parties, maintain and repair watercraft, manage a fleet, and can run to be on the Executive. With everyone pitching in, and with no paid staff, we’re able to keep our membership fees very affordable.
