The Club de Velas de Rosario was founded on April 13, 1963 and is one of the most traditional clubs in the city. Located on the banks of the Paraná River on the coastal avenue, it is dedicated exclusively to the practice of sailing in its different categories.
Its fleet is made up of more than 200 boats, a fact that demonstrates the sporting level that the institution has acquired over the years.
Since its birth, it has had one of the best Optimist schools in the country. In the same clubhouse, Sailing and Motor Yacht Helmsman courses are also taught, second level of Sailing and Motor Yacht Helmsman and Skipper. These trainings are open to members and non-members of the club, and except at advanced learning levels, it is not necessary to have your own boat to participate.
In addition, the club has a social meeting center for its members that consists of a dining room, terrace, barbecue area, pool, and event room.
It has also incorporated a gym and a complete program for physical preparation for members who actively practice sports.
It also has two important coves that house 150 boats, more than 60 monotypes, two pens, moorings, dry dock, changing rooms and bedrooms that are used to house the fleets of the clubs that attend to participate in the different championships.
The club organizes an important regatta calendar for all classes every year. Due to its size, its fleet, its awards (more than 30 Argentine championships and 18 international titles), it has become one of the most important and prominent clubs at a local and national level, thus becoming one of the most prestigious institutions in the interior. of the country with 54 uninterrupted years of life.
