On July 15, 1925 from a splinter fringe of the glorious Neapolitan club “Italia”, the “Giovinezza” nautical club was born with a social guidon inspired by the fascist pennant and honorary president Benito Mussolini himself.
The seat of the new club is housed by the Martinellis , in the roadstead they own, in via Posillipo, near piazza San Luigi, inside the historic wooden chalet which, a year after its foundation, was transported by sea to the current address on the beach adjacent to Villa Chierchia . In the same year, due to the shortage of space, a small hangar was built inside the port of Naples, where a certain number of boats will find shelter and it will be used as an operational base for training; being able to have a basin with calm waters will be a great advantage for the crews of the “Giovinezza” who immediately begin to reap their first successes.
