The Club was founded in 1953 on the initiative of some sailing enthusiasts around a table in a bar, the idea quickly materialized with the creation of the headquarters in Calata Mazzini, right on the Lerici pier in a magical position at the end of the quay, where begins the pier protected by the wall and the fortress of the Castle.
The Club was founded to spread and develop the sailing activity in Lerici and is a non-profit amateur sports association.
The sport of sailing is a sport suitable for young and old, it allows healthy competition and aggregation between members and visitors. This was the original spirit of the Erix Circle and it has remained so for more than 60 years, declined in the various forms of activity.
