Over the years, large-scale competitions were organized and made the reputation of the Company: a World Championship for Tempest, European Championships for O-Jole, Lightning, Moth, Swiss Championships for Soling, Finn, Tornado, 420, O-Jole, Corsair, Dolphin, Surprise, Star, Lacustre, 5.5JI.
Young members managed the feat of bringing together 135 Corsairs in 1998 during the first Regatissima and 109 boats in 2002 during the second edition. Unheard of on our lake!
The CVG hosts the Star Sailors League, which organizes the Grand Slam in 2015 with the participation of 25 nations, around twenty World Champions and twelve Olympic medalists. The SSL Gold Cup shines the name of Grandson and the CVG as the qualifications for the first Sailing World Cup by nation took place off the port in 2022.
More modestly, the Bol d’Or du lac de Neuchâtel is the flagship regatta of the Cercle de la voile de Grandson, counting for the championship of the Jurassic Lakes Sailing Federation. Not to mention the parade of old boats, which brings together fans of old rigging.
