The present club was formed after a visit to Fleetwood around nineteen eighty four, there we saw radio controlled Marbleheads and decided this was for us. It was never our intention to sail Fifies but one stalwart joined the club and built a new Fifie and he became the man to beat. We are still, to this day building and racing fifies.
Classes currently sailed: International One Metre(IOM), Dragon Force 65 (DF65) and the Fifies (a local class)
Club days: In the summer the club sails every Tuesday evening at the Den Dam using the Fifies. We then sail the IOM’s and/or the DF65’s on a Wednesday pm and evening, then every Saturday. Anyone wishing to sail should first phone Alastair Law (01779 473086) or put a message onto our Facebook page
