The Browns Lake Yacht Club was founded in 1959 with just a few boats racing at 2:00 on Sunday afternoons. Today we continue to be a very active club, averaging about 14 Class C Scows at the starting line on Sundays. We have about 65 family social members.
Sunday sailboat racing begins at 2:00 pm, and the Wednesday races begin at 6:30 pm each week from Memorial weekend through Labor Day weekend. Throughout the summer we hold social gatherings each month, some pot luck-style, with the main dish provided by the club, and some casual beer and chips parties. These events provide an opportunity for socializing and camaraderie among sailors and social members.
