Fincantieri shipyard launched Marina, the first ultra luxury cruise ship which Fincantieri is building for the US shipowner Oceania.
Marina is larger than the other ships of Oceania’s fleet, but remains comfortably mid-size. The 9-deck ship is 251 metres long, 32 metres wide and can reach a cruising speed of 22 knots. Maximum passenger capacity is 1,260 guests and crew accommodated in 640 cabins.
The interiors, created by the Norwegian architects Yran & Storbraaten, were conceived to meet the tastes of a sophisticated, demanding public. The vessel’s interior furnishings are finely appointed with close attention to passenger comfort. Accommodations in every category are incredibly spacious, especially with regard to the lavish bathrooms.
Marina ship provides all possible entertainments on board. She features a spa club, which offers different programs from massage to fitness, a large heated pool and three whirlpool spas, many various onboard classes, an internet center and a culinary center – the only hands-on cooking school at sea.
Marina has six restaurants, including two new gourmet venues — Jacques and Red Ginger and is certainly a “finest cuisine at sea”.

Cruise Ship Marina is scheduled for delivery at the end of 2010.
