Moonen 133

With a principle of “quality pays off,” the Rene Van Der Velden Yacht design team is proving to be one of the most popular yacht designers to date.
Interior was designed by leading Dutch studio, Artline, working closely with the owner to make full use of the spacious Moonen 133 layout. The luxury yacht features naval architecture, structural design including submarine launchin designed by Stolk Marimecs who combines state of the art technology with traditional design and drafting skills to deliver reliable, efficient and high-quality services.

They not only repair and refit yachts, the also create some of the world’s most luxurious super yachts.

Their positive approach to design has secured them a number of interesting contracts, even in economic times when yacht building is not something most people think about. Because so many private clients as well as shipyards have made increasingly serious inquiries for their services, it is starting to look like the yachting industry may finally be seeing a turn around.

For a perfect example, they have been asked by Moonen Shipyards to help one one of the largest and most ambitious projects for a private client. This the be called the Moonen 133, the largest super yacht this shipyard has ever endeavored to create. This will be much more than just your typical super yacht, but a full bodied long range cruiser.

The Moonen 133 will also be much more than that. She will carry more toys than even some of her larger competitors. There will be two full tenders, as well as three different jet skis, and get this, a submarine will also sit on the aft platform. There will be a gym that can convert to an extra guest cabin, a luxury owner’s suite, and with four more below deck cabins, this yacht will be able to accommodate up to twelve guests, as well as crew. Normally requested in larger yachts, the bridge deck is of an open air design, which has become increasingly popular with many different clients.
