Ruea Yachts has announced details of its first project – a 60-metre luxury motoryacht with an optional helicopter touchpad in the bow.
The 60m concept was designed in cooperation with naval architects BMT Nigel Gee and interior designers/stylists Design Unlimited.
The new motoryacht will be ideal for tropical cruising. Her top speed is about 16 knots. She has a range of nearly 5,000 nautical miles at a speed of 12 knots.
The superyacht will have six decks and will be able to accommodate an owner and ten guests. The upperdeck is dedicated to the owner; five double guest suites are located on the main and lower decks, including one with a balcony.
Seven crew cabins, crew mess and galley are located in the forward part of the lower deck, which also includes a tender garage, dedicated cinema, gym, storage for scuba gear, water sports equipment and right at the stern sits a fold-out beach area complete with wet bar.
“The combination of cutting edge design and architecture, courtesy of our European partners Design Unlimited and BMT Nigel Gee, and the superb Thai craftsmen we have at our shipyard in Bangkok, we believe will be an enticing proposition for superyacht aficionados,” explains MD Gareth Twist. “They will discover not only a stunning vessel, but one that is extremely affordable when compared to western yards without compromising on quality.”
The first Ruea Yachts’ project is expected to be displayed at the 2010 Monaco Yacht Show in September.
