Are you ready for the first Blue Coast Catamaran Yacht by H2X Shipyards? Well you better be, since this is the first of it’s kind to be constructed be H2X and is to due to be released in September of this year. The Blue Coast 95 Catamaran is one of the biggest catamaran yachts ever made, and is designed by the world renowned designer Jean-Jocques Coste, and at this time under construction in La Ciotat France, at the H2X Shipyard. Blue Coast Yachts a leader in French designed Catamarans, has also teamed up with the Coste Design and Partners team to create this huge, 95 foot sailing catamaran.
While 28 meters long and 12 wide, the 95 will be roomy, yet feature an extremely resistant and lightweight body design. It is accomplished by built in female molds, which are a sandwich of glass and carbon, fused together by a revolutionary vacuum process, exclusive to this catamaran maker.
There are also many things about the Blue Coast 95 that make it stand out above other similar catamarans. Some of these are the high end navigational and technical equipment, as well as innovative architectures. There is a huge in and out living space, extra large flybridge that includes bar, helm stations, dining and sun bathing areas, as well as an oversized jacuzzi. The aft platform includes a hydraulic lift, which give the tender and water sports easy access. Lazarettes include many different accessories, including sea toys, diving equipment, and even a three seated Jet Ski. The main deck provides a full forward view for the owner’s cabin, and features a huge saloon, gourmet professional galley, as well as an interior control station. This also houses the larger than life owner’s suite, which has it’s bathroom in one of the hulls, along with the three guest suites.
Closely following the ideas and tastes of the owner’s wife, the interior of the master suite features gray leather furniture, lead oak paneling, and is separated from the terrace by a set of sliding glass doors. This exterior space has the salon and dining area, as well as the stairs leading up to the flybridge. Coste’s design technologies has created a one of a kind ultra modern and chic hull design. There are also many extensive work done for the sea capabilities and extraordinary performance, including CDF, (Computational Flow Dynamic,) and all the structural calculations have been performed by Finite Elements Analysis, optimizing all the structural parts. The Blue Coast 95 is the first to include a furling boom system, which has been adapted for this catamaran. This makes it easy and simple to navigate, with a maximum speed of more than fifteen knots quite easy to obtain, and a good 13 knot cruising speed.
