Well known and esteemed ship builder Sanlorenzo launched their newest Megayacht the Lamouche in February 2010 and later delivered the Lamouche to its owner in the summer of 2010. Building luxury yachts is not something that is new to Sanlorenzo since they have been in business since the late 1950’s, and possess decade’s worth of experience in the art of yacht construction. Sanlorenzo has facilities in both Ameglia and Viareggio Italy, Viareggio being the yacht building mecca of Italian yacht builders. Sanlorenzo yachts are some of the most desired vessels in the yachting culture.
Sanlorenzo’s style department at their Viareggio facility did the exterior design of the Lamouche. The hull of the Lamouche is constructed of a combination of steel and aluminum and consists of five decks including the under lower deck. The 46 steel hull was constructed using the latest materials and techniques available to make the high tensile steel hull and aluminum superstructure as strong and as light weight as possible while also giving the Lamouche a well balanced and captivating stance in the water. The amazing glazed surfaces along the sides of the Lamouche as well as the aft section “whisker” also lend to the exteriors appeal.
The interior of the Lamouche 46 steel has also been designed and constructed with an eye to both functionality and aesthetics. Sanlorenzo can give thanks to this success to Francesco Paszkowski who designed the Lamouches interior. Paszkowski worked closely with the owner of the Lamouche, and helped to create their vision of what the interior should look like and was responsible for decorating the interior as well. Indirect lights were used to create the sophisticated lighting system of the interior, which created very unique atmospheres with falls of light along the walls.
In addition to the overall beauty of the interior design of the Lamouche furnishings were also chosen with great care in order to make the owner feel very much at home and his yacht a one of a kind. The Lamouche has a beach club aft on the lower deck for owner and guests to take advantage of allowing them access to the water or allowing them to just lay out in the sun. The accommodations aboard the Lamouche are exquisite and plentiful and the owner’s suite is incredible consisting of a full beam master cabin, office, large walk in closet, and a private bath.
The 46 steel Lamouche has a garage that is large enough to carry a big yacht tender for ship to shore business. The crew’s quarters are located in the bow of the lower deck and contains a galley, and a dinette, and four double cabins. Twin 3512B Caterpillar engines putting out 2,040HP each provide the power for the 46 steel Lamouche. Two 115 KW generators provide the electricity for the ship and also has a20 KW emergency generator. Max fuel capacity is 57,000 litres while water capacity is 16,000 litres. Speed ranges from 10 knots up to a max speed of 15 knots.
