Following the phenomenal success of the inaugural event held in 2008, Boat International Media would like to invite you to the second annual Superyacht Design Symposium being held in New York City on the 26th and 27th of October 2009.
Chaired by the editor of “The Superyachts”, Roger Lean-Vercoe, this year’s conference is none other than an essential event for yacht builders, yacht designers, captains, brokers, owners, and etc. This event will be hosted at the prestigious Plaza Hotel in New York City which has just undergone a complete transformation costing approximately $400 million. We are proud to announce this exciting two day program which will include exclusive presentations and debates regarding a wide range of topics. These will of course be presented to you by various yacht owners and industry specialists.
Topics of discussion at this year’s event will include:
- Upgrading to green – how far should one be prepared to go
- Building prices and resale value
- Yachts and helicopters – guaranteeing safety
- Defense against piracy – no go areas and safety measures a yacht can take
- Seaworthiness and fuel economy in yachts – the hull of the future
- Falcon submarine – boldly go where no man has gone before and experience the final frontier
The Superyacht Design Symposium aims to offer enthusiasts an exclusive opportunity in order to share in the expert knowledge of some of the world’s leading authorities on yachting. Furthermore, there will be plenty of opportunity for networking during what can only be described as an extensive first class program.
All delegates who register before the 24th of July 2009 will qualify for the early bird registration fee of $1,350. Delegates who register after this date will be charged the full fee of $1,650.
It is interesting to note that this year’s event will include a new addition in the form of a private dinner at the exclusive Rouge Tomate restaurant in New York. Following the dinner, there will be a cocktail reception on the Monday night which by all accounts will provide you with an ideal opportunity to mix and socialize with the other delegates.
Due to the fact that there are only a limited number of places available at this exclusive function, we regret to inform you that registration will be allocated on a first come first served basis. In light of this, please ensure that your registration fees are received in good time in order to guarantee your place.
We truly hope that you will be able to join us in New York for what can only be described as the most compelling meeting of super yacht owners, builders, and industry professionals in the year 2009.
