Quaranta is a unique catamaran motor yacht made by none other than Logos Marine, a company based in Turkey. It recently experienced a launch that did not appear to have any problems.
The length of the catamaran motor yacht is an impressive 33.7 metres, and it is RINA( Royal Institution of Naval Architects) classed and compliant to MCA (Maritime and Coastguard Agency) standards. The powerful dual 1,900 horse power Caterpillar C-32 engines give the vessel a max speed of 25 knots, and an average of 22 knots when cruising. When trying to conserve power the speed can be lowered to an average of 12 knots.
The design of the yacht involves a number of luxurious features including a 6 meter lifting platform made of aluminum powered by hydraulics. The designer, Lila Loue, and naval architect Incat Crowther decided to focus on large exterior decks and open spaces, as well as making sure the entire yacht is wheelchair accessible.
The innards of the boat will contain six double cabins able to house 12 guests, as well as enough accommodations for 6 crew members.
Quaranta is expected to appear at many large shows and exhibitions in 2013.
