Odin: Futuristic And Aggressive Superyacht Concept By Sigmund Yacht Design

Odin

The Odin is a masterful ship built with the most modern proportions, unlike any of its kind. It is a complex boat – its massive length but slender waistline make it seem as though it were a small boat, but with six guest suites and a master suite that holds a group of twelve, there is plenty of room for everyone. Dimensions aside, the entire design of the boat is made to cut cost on building and upkeep. As if that were not good enough, this yacht is equipped with all the modern bells and whistles that a captain needs for navigation, as well as a powerful engine to propel him along. What else could an operator ask for?

The outside of the ship is a newer design, incorporated just this year into a family of ships with the Odin being the showcase piece. The surface, instead of the classic curves and folds of an older yacht is cut like a crystal, at the best description. It is slim and streamlined, amazingly so for a passenger yacht. The idea behind the Odin’s faceted surface design was to cut finishing costs and minimize building time. It has its own look; the ship looks like something you might find in a fantasy campaign or on a television show about star ships – the look of this boat is definitely something new.

The inside, however, is aimed towards the classic and the needs of a large group. There are six guest suites, and one master suite that holds luxurious beds and furniture – all designed to offset the modern shape of the ship itself. The beds are canopy and the overall size boasts twelve plus a hearty crew. If the amenities of the rooms aren’t enough, one can’t be unhappy with the huge sundeck, the open galley, and the built in jacuzzi. This ship truly has everything that one could ask for in a yacht, including an engine to back up the fifty meter hull.

The twin MTU diesel engines are large and in charge on this big toy, and the Odin has a top speed at twenty one knots and a range of three thousand nautical miles while at a cruising speed. The radar and navigational system are hidden in the ships hull design and is ideally placed to set an ergonomic balance with the ship. Those pretty lines aren’t just for looks, you know. The navigational equipment is designed also to offset the angular lines on the ship – it’s just more of what makes the boat look so modern as far as aesthetics.

The Odin isn’t just a “boat” or a yacht, it’s an amazing piece of art. From the streamlined body to the stately designs on the inside, its designers have really gone out of their way to become number one in their field by impressing everyone with their new look. While this is the first year that the faceted design has come to the market, it isn’t likely to be the last with the quality craftsmanship under the hull. Whatever the case when someone is looking to purchase a fine watercraft, the Odin is an excellent choice.
