The new Squadron Fifty will be the latest and perhaps greatest achievement in the Fairline Squadron arsenal. Perhaps two areas are the most admirable, the unique tender delivery system, and the ‘full length’ hull design. Between the two of these advances in yacht design, they have helped to create a more usable internal space, resulting in accommodations better than any of their competition.
Starting with the spacious interior design, a welcome layout for traveling in comfort and style with your family or friends. The first thing you will notice is the light filled master suite. It has panoramic windows overhead panels that are glazed to let in even more light, and more than six feet of headroom, completely across the cabin. The overall size of the suite is really what you would more likely expect from a larger vessel. There are also two equally impressive guest cabins, each with full en suite bathrooms, and full size shower stalls.
Other areas are just as accommodating. The main deck is also luxurious, from the multimedia equipment, it’s open layout, and full panoramic windows, with the option of a powered section that opens to the air. The fully equipped galley is located aft, of the saloon space, giving a perfect alfresco dining room experience. The area is more than sociable, because there is a frame less glass entrance door that opens out to the extensive cockpit area. This is visually balanced with twin stern gates and transom.
The cockpit and deck area have the latest ins technological designs, offer space saving, practicality and comfort. The next item is the hidden easy to use tender launch system, which allows you to launch tenders quickly and easily. There are fairlead bollards, warp lockers, and deck to dock apertures, all designed to make handling a pleasure. There is even an optional aft crew cabin, which can be accessed from the cockpit, even when on the ocean.
The large upper flybridge is also one of the main focal points of the Squadron Fifty. Like other Squadron models, it is set high up, with a class entertaining options. This one is the most lavish in it’s class, and is an exhilarating command position, since you can see all around you and this makes it a breeze when coming into port. There are many other facilities offered here, from a large bathing area for sun worshipers, lounge areas, and wet bar. Whether you are anchored at your favorite spot, or on the move, in clear weather this is the only place to be.
It has an overall length of just under 51′, and a width of almost 15.’ It has six to seven berths, and has a fuel capacity of more that 600 gallons. There is a 150+/- fresh water tank, with of course a calorifier, and has three engine options. You can have twin Volvo Penta D11-760 Shaft Diesel engines, with 670 HP each, which have speeds of 33 knots. There is the Volvo Penta D9-575 EVC Shaft Diesel, with 575 HP and a speed of 30knots, or the twin Caterpillar C12 shaft Diesel 710 HP motors that deliver 33 knots.
This is one motor yacht that is not only going to set itself apart from the rest of the Squadron series, but from all other similarly sized boats on the water.
