At the 69th Miami International Boat Show (11-15 February 2010) Maritimo displayed four boats. Among them was the exciting new 56 Cruising Motoryacht.
The new yacht presents a sleeker appearance, with more rake to its bow and a flying bridge slightly longer than previously seen on the Maritimo flying bridge range. She is the first flybridge yacht for Maritimo without the trademark wings incorporated into the bridge.
“The concept has been aimed at the game fishing fraternity, – explained Dave Northrop. – But we believe that most people who own flying bridge boats appreciate what the design delivers – appearance, command, vision, accommodation – but don’t have the slightest interest in big game fishing.”
Maritimo 56 features spacious and luxurious interior design. The main deck has a vast cockpit, a galley and a spacious and light saloon thanks to sliding picture windows. Below deck, there are three sleeping cabins and an enormous owner’s stateroom with private ensuite below deck.
Designed with an advanced variable deadrise hull, engines mounted forward and long-range fuel tanks positioned amid ships, the 56 has superb balance and poise, and a more efficient propeller shaft angle of just 9 degrees. The cruising speed of the Maritimo 56 is about 25 knots.
