Boats seem to be a dime a dozen these days, but at the same time boats seem to be much more sophisticated. Enter the Lady Britt, a 63m superyacht that was launched from the Vries Shipyard in Aalsmeer on October 9. This yacht, previously known only as Project Ansgar, features exterior design conceived by De Voogt Naval Architects with an interior by Redman Whiteley Dixon.
Flying the flag of the Cayman Islands, this yacht has an overall length of 206.8 feet, and has a hull composed of solid steel. The twin screw propulsion system will permit this yacht to travel virtually anywhere so long as there is open water. In addition, it holds a total of thirty-nine thousand two hundred and sixty-five gallons of fuel. The water capacity measures ten-thousand one hundred and sixty-five gallons. As you can imagine though, while the aesthetics are fairly impressive, the Lady Brit actually looks quite amazing on the inside.
First, there are six large guest suites on the lower deck. These will come in handy for those who happen to be on vacation with their friends or families, and in addition to that two suites can be converted into a full width VIP stateroom if the guests so desire. This stateroom features a ‘New York’ apartment feel, allowing individuals a feeling of class as they cruise the high seas.
All of this is great for accommodation, but what about entertainment? There has to be more than the ability to jump off the side of the boat and swim (though that is certainly an option if you are in shape). Luckily, the exterior of the boat features a rather incredible wellness spa as well as a panoramic gymnasium. In addition, there is an outdoor cinema, a Finnish sauna, a number of other facilities that will turn an ordinary vacation into an extraordinary one.
The yacht is intended to carry fourteen guests and house seventeen crewmembers that will attend to the passengers. Though this might be a rather expensive charter, it will certainly be well worth it as you cruise the open seas on a stable vessel that provides all the amenities of a five star hotel. As you can see, it would be hard to do much better.
