On the ninth day of January 2010, Troy Marine custom yacht builders of Istanbul, Turkey introduced their very first superyacht, a 42 meter long boat with the unique name of Imbros. The Imbros will be ready for purchase and delivery in June 2010 after she has been through more sea trials and the interior has been completely finished.
Imbros is powered by dual diesel engines, 750 hp Volvo D16 to be exact, and is capable of maximum speeds of 14 knots and a cruising speed of up to 12 knots. Construction began on this expedition vessel in December of 2007 and it was built to comply with the MCA as well as Bureau Veritas rules, which makes it possible to sail the Imbros privately or use it as a charter yacht.
The Imbros was constructed by skilled craftsmen who are certified and experienced in the art of yacht building. Along with the essence of the interior designed by Ugur Isik and the naval architecture and exterior styling done by the Troy Design team, potential owners also have the option of bringing in their own designer for the interior.
The Imbros provides accommodations for six crew members and 10 guests with four guest cabins, two double cabins, a twin cabin, and a full beam VIP cabin, all of which are located on the yacht’s lower deck. Forward, on the same deck, are the two double cabins for the crew members as well as the crew’s mess area.
The elaborate and luxurious owner’s suite is fully equipped to suit just about anyone’s needs and contains a bathroom with an optional jacuzzi, a bedroom with queen sized, a large walk-in closet, and an office.
Up on the main deck of the Imbros superyacht are plenty of space for both entertaining as well as enjoying the view of the open waters on the impressive sun deck. The main deck of the Imbros is home to an ample dining area, which is conveniently connected to the galley allowing for easy access for the crew, and also a spacious salon.
The upper aft deck houses have a large table and comfortable seating for up to 10 people and two tenders for guests who wish to dine al fresco in the open, but for those who don’t, the main deck contains yet another comfortable seating area.
The asking price for the Imbros superyacht by Troy Marine is €12,500,000.
