Balk Shipyard and Felix Buytendijk Yacht Design have joined efforts again to create a new 36,4 metre Explorer Yacht.
The new Balk Explorer will be powered by a single 1500hp Caterpillar engine giving a range of 3,500 nautical miles with a cruising speed of 10 knots.
The vessel is ice-classed and has accommodation for eight guests and a crew of five. Her maiden voyage, from Spitsbergen to Nova Zembla, will commence in the spring of 2012.
