We are a fun, family kid friendly, sailing club comprised of members from all over the Northeastern Ohio area.
Members own a variety of sailboats including Highlanders, Flying Scots, Thistles, Club 420’s, Lasers, Force 5’s, Melges 14’s, Sunfish as well as several other types of One Design sailboats.
BYC is a member run club brought together by our passion of sailing.
BYC operates as a Non Profit Corporation under the direction of a Board of Directors. Elected by the members each fall the Board develops educational programs, social events, junior programs, club racing, and regattas for the benefit of both our membership and the sailing community around the region.
Berlin Yacht Club is located between Akron and Youngstown, Berlin Lake sits within Portage, Mahoning and Stark Counties and offers a large open body of water that is well suited to sailing all season long. The club grounds are open to members year around with the Club House building open May thru October.
