Project Monarch Yacht is to be completed by Delta Marine with the support of Caterpillar’s Financial Services Corporation (Cat Financial).
The 46-metre superyacht Monarch was designed by Jonathan Barnett; her construction was started in 2007. She was designed upon the style of classic sailing and motoryachts from the turn of the century.
The full-beam master suite is located on the main deck and is fitted with office, vanity, cedar-lined walk-in wardrobes and a double bath with whirlpool tub. Her interiors also include a full bar, walk-in wine room, two king size suites, a queen size suite and a twin guest suite found on the central lower deck.
“The interior for this yacht will be a great departure from any of my previous work. We have developed a modern approach to the detailing using traditional satin paint finishes, almost with the appearance of being ‘hand brushed.’ Large windows allow natural light in and enhance the soft monochromatic coloring and textures,” says Barnett.
Powered by twin Cat 3512 B series engines, Monarch can reach speeds of up to 21 knots, with a range of 3,000 nautical miles at 12 knots. The yacht is ABS and MCA certified, under 500 gross tons and wheelchair navigable, with a centrally located elevator providing convenient access to all four decks.
