Moonen Shipyards has recently launched the 30m motor yacht Livia, the third yacht in the Moonen 97 line of 30m steel-hulled displacement cruisers.
The exterior and interior design of Livia were created by René van der Velden and Art-Line Interiors, respectively; naval architecture was developed by Diana Yacht Design.
The new Moonen 97 has a steel hull and an aluminium superstructure. The yacht features sleek elegant lines, a sloping stern with twin stairways and a spacious flybridge – the perfect place for alfresco dinning.
To eliminate vibrations, Moonen created special vibration attenuation programme. In addition to deploying the finest noise-absorbing insulation, Moonen has eliminated vibration at source by giving the yacht’s highly skewed propeller 50 percent more clearance between the blade tip and hull surface.
Livia offers accommodation for eight guests in four suites (master stateroom, VIP stateroom and two guest cabins), all with en suite bathrooms.
Livia is the third superyacht in the Moonen 97 line. The first two vessels, Darsea and Sofia II, were both launched in 2008. The forth Moonen 97 will be delivered in 2011.
