Richmond Yachts Launched New Superyacht Status Quo

The latest anticipated launch from Richmond Yachts is Hull #4, “Status Quo”, a 43.3 meter (142ft) superyacht that was released in early April 2010. The Status Quo holds the distinction of being the largest yacht ever launched by its maker and is the seventh to come out of the six acre shipyard located in Richmond, British Columbia.

Able to accommodate up to 12 guests at a time, the Status Quo features six different staterooms that are comprised of one full beamed master’s suite, a VIP cabin, three Queen Staterooms and one twin sized cabin. The beautiful interior of the superyacht was designed by Pavlik Yacht Design and includes a comfortable yet elegant lounge complete with custom built sofas and tables to make it the ideal place to unwind and entertain guests.

For more formal visits, the dining room is adjacent to the saloon but separated by the entertainment center. In the dining room, all of the yacht’s 12 guests will be able to be seated comfortably around the large mahogany table that is intricately adorned with woodwork by Sapele and Pomele.

The master suite is complete with an office/study and there are a total of eight heads onboard the Status Quo. Guests will appreciate relaxing in the Skylounge located aft deck and sunbathing while taking in the view on the sundeck. The ship’s fun deck and Jacuzzi tub located on the flybridge are other notable amenities that must be seen to be fully appreciated.

The Status Quo features twin Caterpillar engines producing 1,800 Hp and the superyacht boasts a maximum speed of 18 knots and a cruising speed of 15 knots. The Status Quo was recently sold for its initial asking price of 30 million dollars.
