Jongert Shipyard launched its first large motor yacht christened Lucia M. The new yacht is 39 meters long and is the first motor yacht of these dimensions ever built by Jongert.

Lucia M was developed by the yard at the specific request of several customers. She is owned by a German hotel developer.

“The Lucia-M combines the well known Jongert quality with excellent qualities and technical innovations like the glass-bridge and a monitoring system. And just like the 5200M, our latest design in the sailing yacht line, the emphasis is on privacy, luxury, comfort and space. This motor yacht can be seen as the best in its class,” - said Folkert Brongers, general manager of Jongert Shipyard.

The interiors and exteriors of the yacht were created by Guido De Groot Design with naval architecture by Azure Naval Architects. Lucia M is equipped with several special facilities offering the owner a maximum of comfort and privacy.

The double master cabin is positioned in such a way that the beam of the yacht (7,85 m) is fully used. The semi covered flybridge is a perfect place for rest. The dodger roof above the flybridge has several unique characteristics.

“The roof is equipped with glass to keep the space as bright as possible, but also with blinds to protect against the sun. At the rear of the dodger roof is a sliding part that can be placed over the sun deck.”

The wheelhouse is equipped with all possible modern gadgets. The glass-bridge, unlike a normal dashboard, integrates under “one sheet of glass” all controls, data processors and all other instruments required to manage or control a boat.

Powered by twin MTU 16V4000 M93 4,185hp engines, Lucia M provides a top speed of 28 knots and a cruising speed of 24 knots.
